The Power of Photography

Happy Wednesday friends. So I recently came to the harsh realization that I wasn't as good a photographer as I'd imagined, and that I need professional help. I mean I try, and I know what good pictures look like, and have even gone as far as taking photography classes, but for some odd reason my pictures still lack that thing, you know? That oomph. Perhaps I should have taken a class in Photoshop too. I know the pictures I take myself cannot be featured on the fab blogs and magazines I dream of one day being featured in, and that they lack the look and appeal I want for my brand, so I did what any smart business person would do and outsourced. Enter Jenna of Jenna Rosalie Photography.

I am happy to say that since I started working with her I now have images worthy of being featured. Take a look for yourself, what do you think? While my own pictures only conveyed the basic profile of the products, hers have that certain je ne sais quoi that makes a simple item like a light switch or a typewriter intriguing, almost sexy.

In case you are thinking aperture and depth of field, it turns out learning the concepts was a lot easier for me than capturing it. I think Henry Ford would agree that my time would be best served styling the pieces and setting up for the shoots, than pretending to be a photographer.
